On Monday 19th July a number of restrictions will be easing across the country, and we know many people are keen to know how this will affect our surgeries. We have received national guidance from NHS England which confirms that things will continue to look and feel the same.
The guidance states that anyone accessing or visiting healthcare settings must continue to wear a face covering and follow social distancing rules.
Many vulnerable patients visit our surgeries, and our staff have numerous patient contacts on a daily basis, so in order to protect people from any risk of infection we will still be wearing PPE and will ask our patients to do the same. Social distancing will remain for patients visiting for face-to-face appointments and therefore we will continue to limit the number of patients entering the waiting room.
Contacting your surgery will also remain the same. Please continue to use the eConsult function on your practice website if you are able to, or if this is not possible you can phone us. Please be aware our telephone lines are still very busy, and we will get to every caller as soon as we can.
With staff sickness high and many of them in isolation our services are under huge pressure, but we will continue to do all we can to deliver you the best service we can and to look after the health needs of our community.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
