Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible by calling 01489 881982 in order for us to give the slot to someone else.

Patients who fail to attend on 3 separate occasions or waste more than 30 minutes of doctor or nurse time in a single failed attendance in any 12 month period, without prior notice, good reason or other medical circumstance, will receive a warning letter. They will be given 3 months grace but should they continue to miss appointments without advance warning during this period, they will be removed from the practice list due to the breakdown of trust that their inability to communicate creates.

If the patient fails to attend after the 3 month warning period, the case will be considered by the Partners who may still remove the patient without prior notice, although the default position will be a second warning. No third warning will be issued and removal will be automatic.

While such actions will hopefully be rare, we do need to ensure that those patients who value our service are not penalised of other less considerate patients.
